One City Square, Parramatta.
The One.
Positioned at the gateway to Parramatta’s CBD, One City Square is a new multi-dimensional precinct comprising residential towers, luxury hotel, commercial workplace, dining and retail. Our place brand strategy interpreted key themes from AJ+C’s architectural vision, based on ‘the meeting of the waters’. The physical meeting of the Parramatta River with Sydney harbour sits alongside the more abstract concept of One City Square acting as a centralisation of life and social conduit. The building’s rippling ribbons of curtain wall glass were re-imagined as crystal sculptures rising out of the water, whilst the colour changes in the glass panelling as it rises up the façade inspired the brand’s gradiating colour scheme.

Concentric lines in the branding echo the movement of water, light and sound – representing both the natural and man-made environment.



The mirroring treatment not only represents the reflective qualities of glass and water, but also of a city reflecting on its proud identity and future.
